  • Oversee requirements management, traceability, verification strategies, and technical reviews through qualification and flight-build gates.
  • Lead multi-program risk management, corrective-action planning, and resolution of system-level anomalies through root-cause investigations.
  • Coordinate hardware, firmware/FPGA, software, test, manufacturing, and supplier teams to align processes and deliverables.
  • Mentor Lead and Senior Project Engineers through coaching, training, best-practice sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Improve change-control, configuration-management, earned-value reporting, and lessons-learned workflows.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience in spacecraft avionics or equally complex electronic systems, specifically involving power electronics at the circuit-card and sub-assembly level.
  • Experience leading multiple concurrent programs, defining architecture, and delivering flight-grade hardware.
  • Deep expertise in at least three of the following: requirements management, PCB/FPGA design and review, spacecraft electronics, complex system design, and avionics testing.
  • Proficiency with one or more program-management and requirements tools or methodologies, including MS Project, JIRA/Confluence, EVMS, JAMA, or Polarian.
  • Ability to lead technical reviews, drive risk-mitigation activities, and manage change-control processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including executive presentations, clear technical reporting, and trade-off negotiation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with space standards and interfaces such as SpaceWire, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, and RS-422/TTL.
  • Experience with environmental qualification, including vibration, thermal-vacuum, EMI/EMC, and lab automation.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ECSS, or advanced DFx methodologies.
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Culture & Benefits

  • Performance-oriented culture focused on solving interesting technical challenges.
  • Inclusive workplace with employment decisions based on merit.
  • Annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, open paid time off, and region-specific benefits may be available.
  • Full-time employment with a stated remote location option and an onsite Phoenix work schedule.
