Sr Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (C#)

Location: Remote in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, California, or Virginia. Candidates in Washington within reasonable driving distance of Tukwila must work from headquarters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; candidates outside the commute distance in approved states work remotely.

Target pay range: $128,900–$157,500 annually. Full pay range: $99,900–$186,400 annually. Performance-based compensation incentives may also be available.

What you will do

• Design, build, execute, and expand automated tests and frameworks across multiple application platforms and product areas.
• Assess applications and services, debug complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and turn production findings into systemic quality improvements.
• Integrate automated tests into software builds and continuous integration systems to support reliable and consistent delivery.
• Partner with developers, architects, product owners, and QEs to define testing roadmaps, release readiness, and shared quality standards.
• Review and approve SDET code and tests, mentor SDETs, QA professionals, and junior developers, and present technical topics to the engineering community.
• Lead small testing teams, evaluate failure patterns, support bug triage, and ensure compliance with regulatory and information protection requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• At least five years of experience designing test plans and test cases and writing automated tests in a team environment.
• At least five years of hands-on programming and scripting experience with C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript, plus software development or QA experience in a Windows environment.
• Proficiency with test frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, xUnit, Jest, Puppeteer, Mocha, pytest, unittest, SpecFlow, Selenium, or Gherkin.
• At least four years of experience with continuous integration systems and test case management tools.
• Full-time availability is required.

• Experience testing applications and services with security automation frameworks.
• Experience developing and designing testing and automation frameworks for multiple application platforms.
• Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Experience using Git, including code reviews, pull requests, and branching standards such as Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development.
• Experience with relational database structures and constructing SQL queries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
