SDET Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and continuously improve test automation frameworks.
• Write production-quality test code for unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security testing.
• Automate UI workflows and REST or gRPC APIs across distributed systems.
• Partner with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable solutions.
• Use code and design reviews to raise engineering quality and mentor junior engineers.
• Support quality engineering throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization is required; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of experience as an SDET or in test-focused software engineering roles; the position listing specifies seven or more years of experience.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, plus REST or gRPC API automation.
• Experience with CI/CD test automation, SQL and database validation, microservices, distributed systems, Agile/Scrum, debugging, communication, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Contract testing with Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.
• Performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust.
• Security testing with OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or Snyk.
• Chaos engineering, resilience testing, or ISTQB certification.
