Co-Op Intern (Electrical Construction)

Location: Surrey, British Columbia, Canada; onsite.

Salary: CAD $20.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support project managers with daily tasks related to electrical construction projects.
• Monitor construction activities, interpret applicable construction drawings, inspect equipment, materials, workmanship, and completed work.
• Review plans and specifications, prepare contract-feature checklists, and track subcontractor submittals.
• Assist with cost estimates, statements of work, change management, submittals, and daily and weekly reporting.
• Maintain accurate records, check field progress, and verify that procedures and materials comply with specifications.
• Promote safety and comply with company, industry, and ethical conduct standards.

Requirements

• Be a college sophomore or above pursuing a related degree, or be enrolled in or attending trade school; recent graduates must be within one year of graduation.
• No previous experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with employees and business contacts.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
