Maintenance Engineering Co-op

Location: Welland, Ontario, Canada; onsite co-op from January 2027 to April 2027

What you will do

• Support the Welland Maintenance team and Maintenance Operating System initiatives.
• Assist with developing the MRO spare parts strategy and preparing data for CMMS software.
• Use CMMS software to align complex maintenance tasks with operational requirements.
• Support equipment downtime troubleshooting and investigate special- and common-cause events through data compilation and statistical analysis.
• Contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, change management, and other process improvement projects.
• Support Technical Operations with process execution and SQDCM manufacturing activities.

Requirements

• Currently completing a degree in a related discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple objectives within established timelines.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems.
• Interest in Maintenance for Manufacturing technical processes.
• Professional demeanor and a customer-service-oriented approach.
