Design Technician & Order Engineering Mechanical Co-op

hirify.global develops reciprocating engines and packaged generator sets, supporting customer power-generation solutions through global engineering teams.

What you will do

• Create and modify parametric 3D models and 2D drawings using CREO, applying dimensioning techniques and considering manufacturability.
• Create and release technical data packages for production and customer documentation for installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Complete business-system transactions related to engineering change releases and support assembly and test process improvements.
• Support custom design requests and help resolve manufacturing issues involving reciprocating engines and generator sets.
• Participate in project teams and technical design reviews as a mechanical Order Engineering resource.
• Provide technical support to other functional areas and collaborate with local and remote colleagues.

Requirements

• Currently completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Design experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software.
• Ability to create circuit schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong written, oral, presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to embrace continuous improvement and learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pro/Intralink, PDMLINK, Windchill, or another CAD file management system.
• Experience with Oracle or SAP business systems.
• Experience defining tasks, building teams, mentoring, and training local or remote colleagues.
