PCB Layout Intern (High-Speed PCB Design)

Location: On-site in Burlington, Ontario, Canada; office attendance is required Monday to Thursday for a 40-hour work week.

Salary: $26–$28.50 CAD per hour.

What you will do

• Develop evaluation platforms with senior engineers using bills of material, design tools, and manufacturing design rules.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and system-level signal integrity analysis and optimization using Cadence Allegro and OrCAD.
• Support mechanical design of fixtures, housings, and thermal solutions using Autodesk Fusion.
• Work with product development, applications, hardware, and other cross-functional teams on internal and customer-facing evaluation platforms.

Requirements

• Strong debugging skills.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro for PCB layout.
• Experience with Autodesk Fusion for mechanical design.
• Familiarity with RF and high-speed digital design above 10Gbps.
• Knowledge of optical and high-speed test equipment.
• Excellent cross-functional teamwork and leadership skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented, customer-focused, highly motivated, goal-driven, and self-starting approach.
