Electrical Engineer Co-op/Intern (Optical Modules)

Location: Onsite in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 24–35 per hour

What you will do

• Verify analog circuitry, including transimpedance amplifiers and power supplies.
• Verify digital circuitry involving microcontrollers and memory.
• Verify mixed-signal circuitry, including ADCs and DACs.
• Work with an experienced hardware design team on a new optical module product line.
• Potentially support product respins using Cadence design tools.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.
• Working toward a B.Sc. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with Cadence schematic-capture and simulation tools.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
• Creative problem-solving, strong communication, report-writing skills, and technical aptitude.
• Eligible to complete a background check.
