Senior SAP SD Functional Lead (S/4HANA / Order-to-Cash)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; onsite/hybrid work required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future, including after conversion to direct client employment.

What you will do

• Lead the SAP SD/OTC workstream across requirements gathering, process design, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Facilitate business discovery and fit-to-standard workshops with sales, customer service, logistics, finance, and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes, identify gaps, make functional design decisions, and align stakeholders on solutions based on standard S/4HANA functionality and clean-core principles.
• Configure sales orders, pricing and condition technique, delivery, billing, returns, intercompany, third-party, consignment, and output determination processes.
• Define SD integration requirements with FI, MM, PP, and external applications; support EDI/IDoc interfaces including ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, and INVOIC.
• Write functional specifications, guide ABAP, integration, and Fiori teams, and lead SIT, UAT, defect resolution, business acceptance, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live issue resolution.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP SD/OTC functional consulting experience.
• At least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation or rollout personally led through requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live.
• Ability to independently lead business workshops, understand processes and requirements, and translate them into detailed functional solutions.
• Strong hands-on configuration experience across sales order management, pricing, delivery, billing, and output determination.
• Strong understanding of SD integration with FI, MM, and PP, plus EDI/IDoc integration experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience writing functional specifications and guiding technical teams through development and testing.
• Strong communication skills for explaining SAP processes and recommendations to business users and technical teams.
• Willingness to work onsite/hybrid in Novi, Michigan and transition to direct client employment.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Automotive or industrial manufacturing implementation experience.
• Experience leading multiple SAP implementations or global plant rollouts.
• Experience with aATP, product allocation, and backorder processing.
• Familiarity with API-based integrations and Fiori applications.
• SAP S/4HANA Sales certification.
