Associate Genealogist - German Research

Location: Remote, subject to eligible US location restrictions.

Salary: $41,974.40–$49,854.48 annually, with eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Research Managers to complete research tasks and support client goals.
• Conduct genealogical research in German-speaking regions and General US using proper research methods.
• Use advanced German skills for research and client communications.
• Create and maintain research trees, journals, and accurate citations.
• Write clear, client-facing research reports with minimal supervision.
• Manage tasks, deadlines, billable-hour goals, and timely progress updates.

Requirements

• Advanced or fluent German speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Early-career genealogist interested in specializing in Germanic and US research.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical evaluation skills.
• Strong writing skills for client updates and research documentation.
• Effective time and project management skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Communication and collaboration skills in remote or office settings.
• Willingness to learn and develop genealogical expertise.
