Lead Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote - GMR

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Set technical direction for internal AI tools, client-facing platforms, packaged services, or a product team.
• Lead projects from ambiguous business goals through architecture decisions, delivery, and shipped software.
• Shape AI architecture using AWS Bedrock, RAG, agentic patterns, evaluation pipelines, and production guardrails.
• Establish AI-native coding workflows with Claude Code, reusable skills, engineering standards, and review gates.
• Lead design and code reviews, contribute to system design, and evaluate build-versus-buy decisions.
• Partner with engineering, product, operations, and business teams to identify valuable applications for agentic workflows and deliver outcome-focused solutions.

Requirements

• Experience shipping real products end to end.
• Ability to define architecture roadmaps, frame ambiguous problems, choose approaches, make trade-offs, and take responsibility for outcomes.
• Experience shaping or implementing AI architecture, including AWS Bedrock, RAG, agentic patterns, evaluation pipelines, and production guardrails.
• Ability to establish AI coding workflows with Claude Code and maintain production-grade standards for AI-generated code.
• Ability to lead design and code reviews and contribute to system design.
• Ability to explain technical risks to Product and project management in terms of dates and cost.
• Ability to mentor engineers through pairing and review and turn engineering judgment into reusable standards.
• Ability to collaborate with senior engineering, AI, product operations, product, and cross-functional business stakeholders.
