SAP CPI Consultant

Location: 100% remote within the Continental United States; full-time W2 employment with hirify.global. No new H1B sponsorship; valid H1B visa holders requiring a transfer may apply, and H1B transfers are supported for qualified candidates.

What you will do

• Design and develop end-to-end SAP Integration Suite/CPI scenarios, including synchronous and asynchronous flows, complex mappings, and orchestration logic.
• Build and maintain iFlows, content modifiers, splitters, routers, exception subprocesses, and adapter configurations.
• Develop Groovy and Java scripts for transformation, validation, and routing requirements, and configure HTTP, SOAP, IDoc, OData, JMS, AS2, SFTP, REST, Salesforce, and Ariba adapters.
• Implement secure communication, API-led and event-driven integration patterns, error handling, retries, alerting, and observability.
• Migrate legacy SAP PI/PO interfaces to SAP Integration Suite and manage SAP API Management policies, throttling, security, and developer-portal experiences.
• Support performance tuning, documentation, knowledge transfer, stakeholder collaboration, hypercare, root-cause analysis, and post-go-live incident response.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of SAP integration experience, including at least three years with SAP Integration Suite/CPI.
• Strong hands-on experience with iFlow development, Groovy/Java scripting, and a wide range of CPI adapters.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns and middleware concepts, plus experience with SAP API Management and event-driven architectures.
• Working knowledge of SAP PI/PO and experience migrating PI/PO interfaces to CPI.
• Familiarity with OAuth2, SAML, and certificate-based authentication.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with S/4HANA, ECC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, or Concur integration scenarios.

Nice to have

• SAP-certified Integration Suite or CPI developer credentials.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Event Mesh and SAP Advanced Event Mesh.
• Exposure to SAP BTP development and the CAP framework.
• Familiarity with MuleSoft or Boomi.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD for SAP Integration Suite content transports.
