Buyer (Manufacturing Procurement)

Location: Mechanicsville, Virginia, United States; onsite. Candidates must already have work authorization permitting employment in the United States.

What you will do

• Purchase materials according to technical specifications, pricing, delivery schedules, terms, and corporate purchasing policies.
• Initiate purchase orders in the ERP system, confirm deliveries, and monitor supplier performance against purchase order requirements.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and periodically renew price lists, terms, and conditions.
• Recommend frame agreements to management and execute approved agreements.
• Identify new suppliers with the relevant category team and analyze bids to determine optimal value.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing purchasing department.
• One of the following education and experience combinations: a Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of experience; a Master's Degree and at least 2 years of experience; or a High School Diploma and at least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing purchasing department.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, SAP, relevant procurement tools and methodologies, and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Relevant experience in the electrical industry or manufacturing sector.
• Experience in supply management and quality processes, project work, contract law, commercial terms, standard procurement procedures, and related company policies.
• Ability to maintain partnerships with internal and external collaborators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Existing US work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global in the United States.
