HPEFS Sr. Process Engineer (AI)

Location: Spring, Texas, or Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, United States. The role is designed as onsite with an expectation of primarily working from an HPE office and follows a hybrid schedule requiring presence at least 3 days per week.

Annual base salary: USD 105,500–243,000 in New Jersey and Texas; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives from discovery through measurable value realization.
• Apply DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile, process mapping, root cause analysis, FMEA, and 5 Why techniques.
• Run cross-functional workshops, identify inefficiencies and failure modes, and translate process insights into actionable recommendations and business cases.
• Use automation, AI, analytics, and process mining to improve project speed, insight, and scalability.
• Design controls, monitoring mechanisms, governance standards, and change-management practices to sustain improvements.
• Engage global business stakeholders, influence senior leaders, mentor colleagues, and provide Yellow Belt and Green Belt training.

Requirements

• 7–8 years of hands-on process engineering experience with a track record of measurable business impact, ideally in a global, matrixed organization.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to apply Design Thinking and Agile methodologies is required.
• Proficiency in statistical techniques, flow charting, and business analysis.
• Experience in finance, banking, leasing, and customer success or services environments within the technology industry.
• Experience using AI and automation within process improvement projects is essential.
• Practical experience with at least one process mining platform, including independently extracting, interpreting, and acting on process intelligence data.
• Strong business acumen, stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills, including the ability to work with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Based in or able to commute to Spring, Texas, or Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, at least 3 days per week.
• Ability to work independently, guide complex initiatives with minimal supervision, and collaborate across global time zones with international teams and customers.
