Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: UK - Duxford; onsite manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Lead in-house and outsourced maintenance activities in line with safety, statutory, and engineering requirements.
• Manage, develop, and motivate the maintenance team, including recruitment, performance management, training, and development.
• Manage contractors and service providers against agreed standards, service levels, and business objectives.
• Develop and improve preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
• Monitor equipment performance, maintenance KPIs, machine uptime, budgets, and project expenditure.
• Lead root cause analysis, equipment lifecycle planning, CMMS records management, installations, commissioning, calibration, and audit support.

Requirements

• Recognised engineering qualification, such as an apprenticeship, HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent.
• Significant maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment, including shift-based teams.
• People management and leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Health, Safety and Environmental qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, facilities maintenance, CMMS, maintenance planning, and preventative maintenance systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom, where the position is based.

Nice to have

• Experience or qualifications in root cause analysis, project management, Lean or continuous improvement, and reliability-centred maintenance.
