Insurance Account Specialist Senior

Location: Columbus, OH; office-based. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States. Huntington will not sponsor immigration benefits or work authorization.

What you will do

• Support service, retention, and growth of the agency's commercial insurance client portfolio.
• Respond to internal and external service requests, research issues, resolve inquiries, and ensure follow-through.
• Process endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, certificates, and related policy documentation.
• Review policy changes, endorsements, audits, carrier correspondence, and other documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Support new business and renewal marketing by gathering underwriting information, preparing applications, and coordinating documentation with clients and carriers.
• Maintain client and policy records, document interactions and service actions, and prepare client summaries and renewal presentation materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of commercial insurance industry experience.
• Active Property and Casualty insurance license.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
• Industry designations or progress toward CISR, CIC, CPCU, or AAI certifications.
• Strong organizational, administrative, time management, verbal communication, written communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate within a team, recognize and escalate coverage, underwriting, or client concerns, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and agency technology platforms.
• Experience in an independent agency, brokerage, or insurance carrier environment.
• Familiarity with agency management systems and document management platforms.
