Senior Observability Engineer

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; onsite

What you will do

• Assist customers with setting up commerce software and hardware.
• Enable telemetry for logging, monitoring, and tracing using customer-owned technology stacks.
• Guide customers in configuring observability dashboards and metrics.
• Write, troubleshoot, and debug efficient application code.
• Triage and document customer-reported issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Communicate technical findings with application architects and end users while identifying and meeting KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 6 years of professional experience in software development or L3 support roles using Java.
• Experience with microservices architectures, including cloud- and web-based content.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a self-driven approach, and a performance-driven mindset.
• Ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code and troubleshoot current applications.
• Ability to quickly triage and document issues and provide root cause analysis for customer-reported problems.
• Experience communicating with different technical audiences, from application architects to end users.
• Experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Git, Maven, Docker, MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies.
• Fluent English.

• Leadership skills and experience working with international customers.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and retail applications.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript, Vue.js, NodeJS, and TypeScript.
• Linux and Windows experience.
• Experience with Selenium and Cucumber.
• Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Datadog.
