Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead the transition from legacy and manual deployment processes to automated DevOps workflows.
• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines across development, QA, and production environments.
• Create and maintain AWS and on-premises cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design continuous deployment solutions that improve availability, uptime, and resource utilization.
• Enforce security practices, track vulnerabilities, and diagnose issues across hirify.global environments.
• Support Dev and QA teams, maintain technical documentation, and participate in 24x7x365 operational rotations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, or an equivalent field.
• 8+ years of experience driving CI/CD for systems deployed to cloud providers, including AWS operations.
• 8+ years of experience in a 24x7x365 global SaaS/PaaS operation.
• 8+ years of experience with virtualization and Docker containers.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, batch, Bash, Python, or equivalent scripting languages.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, cloud platforms, security, and complex systems is required; the role is based in Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub Actions, Helm, Spinnaker, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, NuGet, and SonarQube.
• Experience with Terraform, Linux and Windows Server administration, and AWS services including EKS, MSK, EC2, S3, ECR, Secrets Manager, and Cognito.
• Experience with MS SQL Server, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
• Knowledge of HTTP, TLS, PKI, code quality, operational readiness, and security best practices.
