Associate Systems Analyst - Revenue Cycle (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid role based at the Information Technology Center in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States; travel to other WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites may be required for implementations, training, and support.

What you will do

• Support troubleshooting, maintenance, updates, testing, error correction, security settings, and optimization of healthcare software systems.
• Assist with system modifications, implementations, data imports and exports, basic reporting, and functional or integrated testing.
• Work with senior analysts, business partners, stakeholders, and project teams to gather requirements, coordinate deliverables, document progress, manage risks, and resolve issues.
• Provide classroom, one-on-one, and remediation training, ongoing end-user support, readiness assessments, and training content development.
• Participate in continuous learning, knowledge sharing, basic research, and process improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or two years of relevant experience.
• Relevant certifications and/or proficiencies may be required, with a target completion within 90 days after formal training provided by WVUHS Information Technology.
• Foundational experience analyzing business needs, documenting functional specifications, and aligning technical solutions with organizational requirements.
• Foundational ability to troubleshoot and test systems, identify potential issues, and support reliable system functionality.
• Written and verbal communication, interpersonal, teamwork, relationship-building, adaptability, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work with process maps, workflow diagrams, data analytics, and tools supporting system design, training, procurement, installation, configuration, and problem resolution.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.

Nice to have

• Experience with applicable business, clinical, imaging, or web application systems, including advanced workflows and efficiency optimization.
• Proficiency in systems administration and providing strategic operational improvements.
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings and advanced system implementations supporting patient care processes.
• Knowledge of clinical data management and healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
• Knowledge of cloud-based healthcare applications and web services.
• Knowledge of reporting tools, data analysis, and actionable reporting.
