M&A Director (Tax Advisory)

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; New York; San Francisco Bay Area; South Florida; Southern California; or Washington, D.C.

Salary: $165K–$272.5K annually.

What you will do

• Perform tax due diligence and advise clients on complex M&A tax implications, liabilities, risk mitigation, and strategies.
• Analyze federal and state tax implications of transactions and execute tax integration for acquired entities.
• Advise on acquisition structuring, prepare transaction steps and analyses, and incorporate tax structuring advice from other jurisdictions.
• Lead consultants, develop people leaders into future practice leaders, and provide issue-resolution support across concurrent client engagements.
• Own key client relationships and identify opportunities for revenue growth and service expansion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• At least 10 years of experience in M&A tax advisory or consulting.
• Ability to develop client relationships and lead and develop teams and individuals.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, identify problems, and find solutions independently.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required based on client location.
• Interest in participating in internal and external initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, committees, employee resource groups, conference panels, and firm events.
