Cost Manager - Data Center

Location: Dallas, TX (On Site)

What you will do

• Deliver end-to-end cost control services, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Own cost-related processes for Prime and Subcontractor scopes and support Project Managers with financial coordination.
• Analyze Procore usage, streamline data flows, improve processes, and recommend or implement additional tools.
• Coordinate cost-related hand-offs between Preconstruction, Construction, and Operations, including participation in key Preconstruction meetings.
• Manage budget development, cost projections, cash flow, client billing, invoice processing, purchase orders, and change order documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing costs for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center projects.
• At least 5 years of data center construction scheduling and/or project management experience.
• Deep understanding of data center cost drivers, including MEP-intensive systems, high-capacity electrical infrastructure, cooling technologies, and IT/telecom integration.
• Current knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and supply chain risks in key markets.
• Experience aligning cost management with scheduling, procurement, and risk management processes.
• Strong communication and reporting skills for delivering actionable insights to developers, owners, and construction teams.
• Experience supporting contracts, including negotiation, change order review and analysis, monthly invoicing, client billing, and change management in large, multi-stakeholder projects.
• A proactive, self-starting mindset with strong ownership and accountability.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of data center or mission-critical experience.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, phased scheduling strategies in high-performance projects.
