Cloud Developer (Platform Engineering)

Location: Ottawa, Canada; hybrid attendance required in the Ottawa office at least three days per week.

Compensation: CAD 25.24–37.02 hourly.

What you will do

• Apply software engineering principles to application and operations challenges, focusing on automation and self-healing.
• Build and manage stable, secure cloud automation using cloud orchestration capabilities, scripting languages, and APIs.
• Design, code, test, implement, and support Infrastructure as Code.
• Participate in team code reviews and design reviews.
• Complete additional projects as requested.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in computer science or a related discipline.
• Eligible as a co-op or intern: currently enrolled in full-time education or a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date.
• Self-starter with curiosity about technology and a desire to learn Cloud Engineering and DevOps.
• Team player able to work in a continually changing environment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of computer science principles, data structures, and algorithms.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud technologies, container platforms, GitOps, and DevOps.
• Experience with Go, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
