Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; telecommuting permitted up to 50% per week within the same geographic location as the assigned office, with teams deciding which 10+ days per month they come into the office.

Annual base salary: $200,340–$200,540 USD.

What you will do

• Build reliable, scalable, and high-performance compliance systems supporting business objectives and customer experiences.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Design, deploy, and improve backend applications in collaboration with cross-functional technical teams.
• Apply robust software design principles and perform unit and integration testing.
• Implement and improve coding, testing, and deployment processes to engineering excellence standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate software development experience; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree plus 3 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of experience coding in Java with Spring or Spring Boot.
• 3 years of experience with messaging stream solutions.
• 3 years of experience building systems backed by modern persistence technologies in payments, banking, or e-commerce domains, using Aurora or DynamoDB.
• 3 years of experience with at least one web frontend framework: Node.js, React.js, or Angular.js.
• 3 years of experience with TypeScript, Golang, Scala, Rust, or Python.
• 3 years of experience building cloud applications on AWS and using Docker or Kubernetes.
• 3 years of experience using Agile development for distributed services, with a focus on robust software design, scalability, and security.
