Senior Solutions Architect (Data & AI)

Location: Sweden; hybrid work indicated by the #LI-hybrid marker.

What you will do

• Drive technical and consumption strategy with Account Executives for startup and digital native customers in the Nordics region.
• Influence stakeholders through complex engagements involving cloud ecosystems and third-party applications.
• Act as an expert architect and trusted advisor for data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Lead complex architecture engagements involving multi-workload platforms, enterprise-wide migrations, real-time systems, and AI/ML at scale.
• Create customer-facing content, deliver workshops, and contribute to Field Engineering thought leadership and community engagement.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use-case prioritization and developing technical champions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture, principal engineering, technical pre-sales leadership, or a senior customer-facing technical role.
• Expert-level coding proficiency in Python and SQL; ideally also Spark/PySpark. A live coding assessment and platform build are part of the interview process.
• Experience driving customer consumption growth and platform adoption.
• Strong technical architecture skills covering distributed systems at scale, streaming and real-time systems, lakehouse design patterns, data governance frameworks, and cloud-native platforms.
• Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms, including Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent depth in competing modern data platforms with demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
• Recognized technical specialization in areas such as real-time architectures, ML/AI platforms, data governance, large-scale migrations, or industry-specific solutions.
• Executive presence and strategic thinking, with the ability to influence Directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders on long-term data and AI strategy and connect technical decisions to business outcomes and revenue impact.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
