Hands-on Tech Lead, AI & Digital Commerce

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; work includes the Stockholm office and client premises.

What you will do

• Take technical ownership of client engagements and advise CTOs, CDOs, heads of digital, and business owners on technology decisions.
• Design architectures ranging from lean MVPs on existing platforms to scalable, composable, or microservice-based platforms.
• Code, prototype, review, and work with APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
• Identify valuable AI use cases and build AI-powered features, agents, and production solutions.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining quality, security, and delivery standards.
• Support proposals, solution design, business development, and the growth of the Stockholm technology team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, including a lead or architect role.
• Experience across enterprise corporations, fast-paced scale-ups, or digital consultancies, with the ability to adapt engineering practices to different organisational maturities.
• Experience architecting and building solutions ranging from small MVPs to large, business-critical systems.
• Deep expertise in one primary backend ecosystem: Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Java/Kotlin, Go, or .NET.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus modern frontend frameworks such as Astro, React, or Next.js, APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Production experience building with AI, including LLM-powered features, agents, or RAG.
• Experience using agentic coding tools and forming opinions on how they affect software delivery.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining technical choices in business terms and challenging clients when needed.
• Professional proficiency in Swedish and English.
