Senior Solution Architect (Payments)

Location: Hybrid in Solna/Stockholm, Sweden

What you will do

• Define solution architecture frameworks, principles, and strategies for the Payments domain.
• Design target and transition architectures, architectural roadmaps, and technical runways.
• Define end-to-end payment flows with business and technology stakeholders.
• Develop solution designs and maintain architectural documentation and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, development teams, and enterprise architecture stakeholders.
• Provide architectural guidance across Payment Channels and Payment Processing Platforms in complex transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Payments Solution Architecture or a closely related architectural role within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of banking, financial services, payment products, and payment processing ecosystems.
• Experience designing and delivering architectures for complex payment systems.
• Experience with target architectures, transition architectures, roadmaps, and solution designs.
• Experience with cloud platforms and technologies including GCP, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and OpenShift.
• Professional fluency in English, written and spoken, plus strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps practices and modern software delivery approaches.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Experience with large-scale banking transformation or payment modernization programmes.
• Experience working in Waterfall and Scaled Agile environments.
