Audit Manager, Validations Centre of Excellence (Banking)

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 2–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote. Legal eligibility to work at the specified location is required, with a valid work or study permit where applicable.

What you will do

• Lead multi-skilled audit teams conducting large and complex regulatory remediation validations across hirify.global business lines.
• Plan and execute audit steps and manage multiple validation activities through completion within required timelines.
• Provide independent opinions on the design and operating effectiveness of management remediation and related controls.
• Develop deficiency remediation closure memos assessing remediation adequacy and potential business and group-level impact.
• Build relationships with Internal Audit, business partners, external stakeholders, and the three lines of defense while providing risk, control, and regulatory advice.
• Coach team members and provide leadership across individual assignments and team opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience planning and executing audits, with comprehensive knowledge of auditing practices, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
• Knowledge of Retail Banking within a large financial institution.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate complex problems and interpret information.
• Clear, concise, and influential written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, build professional relationships, influence outcomes, and provide trusted advice.
• High standards of accuracy, rigor, credibility, and compliance with audit standards, regulations, and industry practices.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• Professional designation such as CPA, MBA, CFA, or ACCA, or equivalent business experience.
