Senior Accountant, Forensic Accounting

Location: London, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work model with remote work and attendance at the office for meetings, training, and team collaboration.

Compensation: CA$65,000–CA$90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Perform preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production, accounting, and invoice data.
• Observe physical inventories and conduct price testing.
• Examine source documents and reconcile claims to final calculations.
• Prepare and review report narratives, schedules, and supporting calculations.
• Conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews to obtain information.
• Conduct research, data analysis, evaluation, and attend marketing events and client functions.

Requirements

• CPA designation or near completion is required.
• At least two years of relevant work experience is required.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and well-developed analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand a business and how loss events have impacted it.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Willingness to accept increasing responsibility as experience grows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Teams.

Nice to have

• Interest in pursuing a secondary designation such as the CBV.
• Additional language skills.
