Manager, Forensic Accounting - Kingston/Ottawa

Location: Kingston/Ottawa, Canada; hybrid work model with remote work and office attendance for meetings, training, and team collaboration. Some travel may be required depending on assignments.

Salary: CA$95,000–CA$140,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage and complete forensic accounting assignments involving commercial litigation, insurance claims, business valuations, disputes, fraud, and related matters.
• Work closely with clients, attend meetings, and communicate analysis results.
• Develop and maintain technical expertise relevant to specific engagements.
• Assist other offices with workload and technical matters.
• Supervise and teach junior-level accountants.
• Participate in new business development and maintain current client relationships.

Requirements

• Experience in forensic accounting services, specifically commercial insurance claim quantification and litigation support.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience measuring commercial insurance claims, including business interruption.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff.
• Well-developed analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills, with strong communication and attention to detail.
• Motivation to exceed client expectations and develop leadership skills.
• Ability to work consultatively and collaboratively with colleagues throughout the firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Teams.

Nice to have

• Additional professional designation or progress toward a designation such as CBV, CFF, or CFE.
• Experience with other litigation support matters, personal injury claims, or accident benefits claims.
• Additional language skills.
