Logistics Specialist I (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States. In-office role with the ability to work in an office or hybrid environment; travel may be required.

What you will do

• Prepare and document logistics materials, including spares, tools, equipment, repair parts, and manuals.
• Coordinate and track shipping and routing while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate equipment, component, inventory, and logistics activity records.
• Organize storage facilities and allocate space for logistics materials.
• Support import and export documentation and compliance.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate timely deliveries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic knowledge of state, federal, and global logistics regulations.
• Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Current and active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, work on foot for most of the shift, and work in a loud environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience with logistics software, inventory databases, shipping databases, or aviation maintenance tracking systems such as AvPro.
• Knowledge of inventory and supply chain principles, shelf life, or HazMat certification.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
