Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Location: Fond du Lac, WI; onsite. Relocation is available. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Salary: $73,600–$106,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support daily production by troubleshooting manufacturing process and system-related issues.
• Identify and implement improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Use Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and manufacturing data to eliminate waste, optimize processes, and support business decisions.
• Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing execution systems and related processes; create system specifications, Statements of Work, and qualification plans.
• Support manufacturing technology implementations, new product introductions, safety and ergonomics initiatives, audits, reporting, and ISO-related activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, IT, Program Management, and suppliers, serving as a subject matter expert for key manufacturing systems and applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing, industrial, or engineering experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly systems, and process development.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, SPC, and quality systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in an office, lab, and indoor industrial environment.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
• Knowledge of advanced or flexible manufacturing systems.
• Experience implementing manufacturing technologies, systems, or process improvements.
• Proven ability to lead projects and deliver measurable business results.
• Experience working across departments, facilities, or complex manufacturing operations.
