2027 Graduate - Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Melbourn, United Kingdom; the work base is the Global Technology and Innovation Centre in Melbourn.

Salary: £31,000 per year, plus an additional £3,500 transport allowance. The role starts in Autumn 2027.

What you will do

• Work with scientists to understand new problems, prototype solutions, characterise performance, and explore technologies and processes.
• Collaborate with designers and human factors experts to define the form and function of new products.
• Work with mechanical, electronic, software, and other engineers to design, test, and build products and systems.
• Develop materials, assemble prototype test rigs, observe user interactions, and capture high-speed video to assess product and process performance.
• Use industry knowledge to contribute to technical strategies and wider client business solutions.

Requirements

• Studying towards or having completed an accredited undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject.

• Practical industry experience in an engineering, development, or scientific role.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
