Senior Corporate Counsel (Anti-Corruption, Sanctions & Export Controls)

Location: London, with hybrid working and the option to work from home up to two days per week.

What you will do

• Develop anti-corruption, sanctions and export control frameworks, policies and practical guidance.
• Provide senior, risk-based advice on complex compliance matters and escalated business questions.
• Review, advise on and negotiate anti-bribery, sanctions and export control clauses in commercial agreements.
• Design and deliver audience-tailored training, communications and guidelines.
• Support sanctions screening and export control frameworks, risk assessments, controls, monitoring, testing, issue management and reporting.
• Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, senior leaders and business partners across markets and functions.

Requirements

• Experience advising on complex anti-bribery, sanctions and export control matters, including sanctions exposure and escalated business questions.
• Experience reviewing, advising on and negotiating anti-bribery, sanctions and export control requirements in commercial contracts.
• Experience designing and delivering audience-tailored, risk-based training, communications and guidelines on anti-bribery, sanctions and export control topics.
• Experience implementing or supporting sanctions screening and export control frameworks.
• Experience contributing to risk assessments, controls, monitoring and testing, issue management processes and reporting within anti-bribery, sanctions and export control compliance programmes.
• Experience applying anti-bribery, sanctions and export controls compliance requirements in a business environment.
• Ability to apply sound judgement, deliver practical advice and build trusted relationships across different markets and cultures.

• Experience supporting monitoring and reporting activities using compliance technology or analytical methods.
• Experience contributing to compliance risk assessments, controls and issue-management activities through data analysis.
• Experience with third-party risk management processes and ethical supply chain assurance.
