What you will do

  • Lead the architecture, engineering, quality, and delivery of hirify.global’s Microsoft Fabric-based data lakehouse, including workspace topology, OneLake, medallion layers, Spark and SQL compute, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design and build production-grade ingestion pipelines across more than 50 ERP, Veeva, LIMS, ELN, CTMS, HRIS, and other source systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data and analytics engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, hands-on problem solving, and personal contributions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and external implementation vendors to translate requirements into platform capabilities and enforce engineering and delivery standards.
  • Design the support model, data quality monitoring, alerting, incident response, SLAs, and KPI reporting for platform reliability and adoption.
  • Build semantic data products with Power BI datasets, gold-layer views, and self-service analytics, while implementing classification, access control, sensitivity labeling, and audit logging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, plus 10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, data platform architecture, or analytics infrastructure. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • 2+ years of technical leadership for data or analytics engineers in a platform or lakehouse environment.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouses, notebooks, Data Factory, and deployment pipelines; equivalent Databricks or Azure Synapse expertise is considered with demonstrated willingness to develop deep Fabric expertise.
  • Production-level proficiency in PySpark, T-SQL, Python, and modern ELT/ETL design patterns.
  • Experience designing and operating enterprise-scale medallion architecture or equivalent layered data platforms.
  • Experience technically managing external implementation vendors, including code review, architecture challenge, and delivery-quality oversight.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD for data platforms, including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Fabric deployment pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code.
  • Familiarity with data governance tooling such as Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog, or comparable tools, and with data quality frameworks.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Biopharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated-industry experience, including GxP data handling, validation requirements, and audit readiness.
  • Experience integrating Master Control, Veeva, LIMS, ELN such as Benchling, CTMS, EDC, or HRIS platforms.
  • Exposure to AI/ML workloads on a lakehouse, including feature stores, model training pipelines, or vector databases.
  • Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering Certificate.

Culture & Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits, including an Employee Stock Purchase Program and 401(k) matching.
  • Learning, development, progression, in-house programs, and tuition reimbursement.
  • Collaborative and innovative environment focused on teamwork, diversity, and meaningful patient impact.
