What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Implement and manage enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse solutions.
• Develop production-quality SQL, Python, and Spark code for data transformation, enrichment, and validation.
• Implement data governance, lineage tracking, cataloging, automated quality monitoring, testing frameworks, and SLA controls.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, cloud architects, application developers, and business stakeholders.
• Support CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, documentation, data modeling, and technical knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a closely related role.
• Advanced SQL and proficiency in a scripting language, with Python strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud data platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines at scale, including data modeling concepts such as star schema and Data Mesh.
• Practical experience with Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory, plus familiarity with Git and software development practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time processing using Kafka, Fabric Event Streams, or Spark Streaming.
• Exposure to governance and metadata tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or Alation.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent cloud certification.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in professional services, consulting, or enterprise IT.
