Category Manager - Indirect Procurement (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid, working in the office 3–4 days per week in Bassano, Italy, or Barcelona, Spain. Travel across the EU for plant and supplier visits is required.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end procurement for products, services, capital equipment, and site projects, from supplier selection through contract management.
• Develop group-wide supplier strategies, preferred supplier lists, cost-down plans, budgets, and performance KPIs.
• Build strategic supplier partnerships focused on total cost of ownership, innovation, value, reliability, and sustainability.
• Negotiate high-value and complex contracts with service providers and establish service-level agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance, communicate progress to stakeholders, and support escalation of performance issues.
• Partner with procurement, finance, engineering, site teams, and other functional stakeholders across the group.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of procurement experience, including marketing, HR, consultancy, or engineering services categories.
• Experience with large contracts, complex suppliers, and strong commercial decision-making.
• Experience in manufacturing and engineering environments is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, influencing, data analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multicultural, multifunctional matrix teams.
• Availability to work in the office 3–4 days per week in Bassano or Barcelona and travel across the EU.
