Professional Services Intern (Networking)

Location: In-office in person in Mississauga, Ontario; candidates must reside nearby or be able to commute. Travel within the assigned region may reach 25% of the time.

What you will do

• Support pre-sales design and opportunities across the Axis product portfolio.
• Prepare technical sales materials and develop system design recommendations.
• Coordinate on-site visits, surveys, proof-of-concept work, and trial installations.
• Maintain the technologies and demonstrations at the Axis Experience Centre.
• Provide backup support to Professional Services staff and identify workflow efficiencies.
• Travel within the assigned region for site visits and related activities, up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a secondary institution and qualified to work under a 4-, 8-, or 12-month internship or co-op program.
• Knowledge of networking or related technologies, including TCP/IP, transport protocols, switches, infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
• Mature, professional verbal and listening skills.
• Strong technical writing, public speaking, and presentation skills, including the ability to create white papers, manuals, and instructions.
• Resourceful and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to lift 20–40 lbs occasionally, climb and stand on ladders or lifts for extended periods, and work at heights including ceilings and rooftops.
• Access to a vehicle for occasional site visits and meetings outside the office.
