Procurement Coordinator (AI/Robotics)

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid with in-person presence required 4 days per week and up to 10% travel to vendor sites. Relocation support is available for eligible employees.

Salary: $108K–$136K base pay annually, plus equity and potentially performance-related bonuses.

What you will do

• Follow up on purchase requests and purchase order issuance, resolve missing information, and confirm supplier order acknowledgment.
• Track open orders, supplier commitments, lead times, shipment dates, overdue items, and delivery discrepancies.
• Coordinate domestic and international logistics, including couriers, pickups, bookings, delivery tracking, shipping exceptions, and vendor-site travel.
• Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documents; coordinate with suppliers, customs brokers, and internal specialists on customs clearance.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers on receiving, storage, outbound shipments, inventory discrepancies, and delivery issues.
• Use AI tools, spreadsheets, and workflow automation to improve order tracking, reminders, shipment updates, reporting, and supply-chain visibility while checking data accuracy.

Requirements

• Starting a career in procurement, logistics, or operations, with relevant experience from internships, school projects, part-time work, or other detail-oriented roles.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines, and follow-ups.
• Bias for action and willingness to contact unfamiliar suppliers, ask direct questions, and follow up persistently and professionally.
• Clear communication and consistent follow-through, including communicating blockers, next steps, and status updates.
• Comfort with spreadsheets and learning new systems, plus active experimentation with AI tools and workflow improvements.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, ask for help, use sound judgment, act independently when appropriate, and escalate risks early.
• Curiosity about robotics, hardware, and physical-goods supply chains.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to purchasing systems, shipping, customs documentation, or warehouse operations.
