Lead Solutions Architect – MedTech (Strategic Account)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

What you will do

• Define the enterprise Data + AI vision for a strategic global health-technology customer with CxO and VP stakeholders.
• Set technical direction for a multi-year program spanning more than one hundred use cases, multiple business units, regions, and regulatory regimes.
• Lead the account pod technically, coaching Solutions Architects, specialists, Professional Services, delivery teams, and partners without direct authority.
• Drive discovery, solution design, modernization, production deployment, measurable outcomes, consumption planning, and escalation management for strategic initiatives.
• Build executive relationships across IT, data and AI, R&D, Quality and Regulatory, Service, Operations, and business units.
• Scale GenAI and agentic AI from pilot to production, develop partner ecosystems, and create reusable reference designs, accelerators, talks, and publications.

Requirements

• Proven experience as the lead technical figure on a large global enterprise account or as an enterprise/chief architect at a comparable organization, owning the vision over multiple years.
• Experience leading virtual teams without direct authority, setting direction, coaching senior architects, and aligning specialists, delivery teams, and partners.
• Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, high-stakes, multi-region, multi-business-unit environments and communicate clearly from boardroom to engineering floor.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, ML, or AI architecture, including significant customer-facing technical leadership in pre-sales, consulting, or enterprise architecture.
• Hands-on expertise in modern data and AI platforms, including designing large-scale data platforms, migrations from legacy warehouses, Hadoop, or other clouds, and enterprise governance and security models.
• Experience designing production ML, MLOps, GenAI, and agent systems, and winning platform decisions against hyperscaler-native and competing platforms based on architecture, cost, and governance.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to prototype quickly, including through AI-assisted development.
• Experience in health technology, medical devices, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
• Working knowledge of EU MDR/IVDR, FDA SaMD and Predetermined Change Control Plans, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and EU AI Act requirements for high-risk medical AI.
• Understanding of GDPR, HIPAA, European Health Data Space, and healthcare data standards including DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and OMOP.
• Professional English.

• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Experience at a global MedTech, health-technology, or diagnostics company.
• Experience designing validated, audit-ready GxP or 21 CFR Part 11 data and AI environments.
• Enterprise-scale SAP data integration using BW or S/4HANA and semantic harmonization experience.
• Public thought leadership through conference talks, publications, or open source.
• Dutch language skills.
