Databricks Senior Solutions Architect (Benelux + Nordics)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid workplace with a remote arrangement possible in rare agreed exceptions. The role is intended for Benelux and Nordics-based candidates and requires significant time zone overlap with clients.

What you will do

• Provide post-sales technical leadership for strategic customers designing and implementing big data projects.
• Architect production workloads covering architecture, data engineering, model deployment, and end-to-end pipeline optimization.
• Align customer technical roadmaps with the growth of the Databricks platform and identify initiatives that create business value from data.
• Perform performance testing, query tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of large-scale data workloads.
• Deliver tutorials, training sessions, hackathons, and conference presentations to support community adoption.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with more than 5 years as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer.
• Hands-on Apache Spark expertise and experience using Databricks across several large-scale projects.
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification.
• Experience with Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, OLAP, query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Programming proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java, plus experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, automation, orchestration, REST APIs, BI tools, SQL interfaces, and customer-facing technical consulting or architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience in data science or ML engineering, including model selection, lifecycle management, hyperparameter tuning, model serving, deep learning, and MLflow.
