Production Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Nyíregyháza, Hungary; hybrid work model with the option to work from home up to two days per week, depending on the role and team. The workplace is the office, store, or factory specified in the advert.

What you will do

• Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve productivity, equipment, and production processes within Prepack Operations.
• Lead and support improvement projects using hirify.global Project Management and hirify.global Continuous Improvement principles and tools.
• Contribute production input to growth, expansion, equipment installation, engineering change, and production-flow projects.
• Work with production lines on daily technical and process challenges and turn issues into practical improvements.
• Support and coach Production Coordinators, maintain procedures and production documentation, and update information in BI and SAP.
• Collaborate with suppliers and other functions on technical solutions, quotations, purchasing activities, and changes affecting production.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or another relevant technical field.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and shopfloor operations.
• Hands-on interest in understanding and improving production processes.
• Previous involvement in engineering, process improvement, productivity, or manufacturing-related projects.
• Ability to analyze technical and process-related challenges and develop practical solutions.
• Confidence working with different stakeholders and collaborating across functions.
• Ability to take ownership of activities and drive them forward.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a production environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools.
• Experience with new equipment installation, engineering changes, or production development projects.
• Knowledge of SAP or BI.
• Experience with suppliers, quotations, or purchasing activities.
• Understanding of productivity improvement or benchmarking activities.
• Interest in coaching colleagues and sharing technical knowledge.
