Supplier Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Gdańsk, Poland / Hungary; on-site. Business travel of up to 20–30% of the time, including international trips.

What you will do

• Establish and maintain supplier-quality standards aligned with global best practices and organizational goals.
• Provide technical leadership in contract negotiations, including Quality Assurance Agreements, warranty terms, and penalty frameworks for non-compliance.
• Lead supplier qualification and AVL processes, including on-site and remote technical audits of manufacturing capabilities and risks.
• Drive supplier performance through scorecards, SCAR, root-cause elimination, and 8D or similar corrective-action methodologies.
• Collaborate on packaging, warehousing, and logistics improvements to eliminate transit defects and reduce logistics waste.
• Develop IQC and supplier-quality strategies, mentor the teams, and oversee proactive defect prevention before mass production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Management, ideally in high-tech electronics, systems assembly, or automotive.
• Expert ability to interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Deep understanding of ISO 9001 is mandatory.
• Mastery of APQP, PPAP, 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and FMEA.
• Intermediate+ English with fluent professional correspondence and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, a system-first approach to problem-solving, and the ability to influence partners in high-pressure situations.
• Readiness for business travel up to 20–30% of the time, including international trips.

Nice to have

• Chinese (Mandarin) for direct communication with Asian manufacturers.
