Senior Procurement Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid from the Leeds site, with 4 days per week on-site in the Morley/Leeds area and local and international travel of up to 40% for supplier visits and collaboration with EMEA procurement teams.

What you will do

• Own full life-cycle supply chain management for the Leeds manufacturing business.
• Execute purchasing, logistics, and sourcing strategies for plastics and electronics, optimizing cost, quality, supplier reliability, and delivery.
• Implement procurement standards, tools, governance processes, and changes across the assigned area.
• Track procurement activities, supplier and internal KPIs, quality issues, reports, and development actions.
• Resolve procurement cost, quality, and delivery issues while maintaining transparent communication across internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop cost-reduction plans, support budget development, and manage the supply base for leverage and risk requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field, plus CIPS certification or active progress toward certification.
• Strong procurement experience in manufacturing, specifically plastics and electronics, including Budget & Performance Management.
• Experience developing and executing strategic plans to support company growth and long-term objectives.
• Experience handling contract negotiations, drafting, and management to ensure compliance and favourable terms.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with a proven background in supplier management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
