Commodity Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop and implement global commodity and sourcing strategies for manufacturing operations.
• Lead cross-functional commodity circles with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and business management.
• Analyse supplier markets, material availability, cost drivers, pricing trends, and total cost of ownership.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers while supporting value engineering and continuous improvement.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, site visits, business reviews, KPIs, and supplier performance.
• Negotiate framework agreements, pricing agreements, and commercial contracts while mitigating supply chain risks.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in supplier-facing purchasing, strategic sourcing, commodity management, or related technical roles.
• Experience with technical commodities in a manufacturing or industrial environment, ideally machined components.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, contract management, analytical, and supplier risk assessment skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Quality, business management, and suppliers.
• A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience is considered.

• Knowledge of metal forming processes.
