Custom Projects Scientist (Diagnostics)

What you will do

• Lead customer-driven diagnostic service projects from initial inquiry through completion, with a focus on execution.
• Act as the primary scientific contact for customers requesting diagnostic and assay development projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Perform laboratory experiments and analytical studies supporting customer projects.
• Analyze experimental data and prepare customer-facing technical reports and recommendations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience leading customer-facing scientific or technical projects in diagnostics, life sciences, biotechnology, CRO, or related industries.
• Experience preparing project proposals, defining project scope, establishing timelines, and managing customer expectations.
• Hands-on laboratory experience involving biomolecular analysis, assay development, protein characterization, or related techniques.
• Experience analyzing scientific data and preparing professional technical reports for external customers.
• Fluency in German and English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technologies and data interpretation.
• Experience in diagnostic assay development, immunoassays, molecular diagnostics, or biomarker characterization.
• Experience working directly with external customers in a service, applications, consulting, or contract research environment.
