Manager Global Product Development (Active Wound Care)

Location: Heidenheim, Germany; hybrid working with occasional business travel within Germany and across Europe.

What you will do

• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, scientific approaches, and biological mechanisms for Active Wound Care.
• Identify, select, and manage external research and development partners.
• Guide new product development in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Oversee external studies and development activities, critically analyzing and interpreting scientific data.
• Develop recommendations and decision-making bases for innovation projects and present scientific concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Quality, Marketing, and other functions while using digital and AI-powered research methods.

Requirements

• Completed PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedicine, biomedical sciences, regenerative medicine, or a comparable life sciences discipline.
• Strong understanding of biological mechanisms of action and hands-on experience with cell biology methods.
• Ability to critically evaluate scientific data, manage external partners, and bridge science, business, and regulatory requirements.
• Structured, analytical, self-driven working style with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in AI-powered research and knowledge management tools.
• Excellent written and spoken English required; knowledge of German is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of wound healing, regenerative medicine, inflammation, immunology, skin biology, biomaterials, microbiology, or antimicrobial technologies.
• Experience in regulated development environments or with medical devices.
