Master Student (Materials & Processes Repairability Analysis for Future Aircraft)

Location: Hamburg, Germany; onsite at hirify.global's aircraft production site. Start date: 01.12.2026. Duration: approximately 6 months.

hirify.global develops and manufactures civil aircraft and conducts research into materials and processes for future aviation.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of materials and processes for future aircraft.
• Review existing solutions and test methods for composite manufacturing opportunities.
• Potentially create computer-aided designs using CATIA V5 and perform simulations with tools such as Nastran and Patran.
• Evaluate test and simulation results and derive technical conclusions.
• Work in a research and technology environment and collaborate with a transnational project team.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a full-time master's student in aeronautical engineering or an equivalent field.
• Fluent German and English required.
• Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
• Experience with project management.
• Final-year thesis placement with an expected duration of approximately 6 months.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD, especially CATIA V5.
• Experience with FEM tools such as MSC Nastran or Patran.
• Practical experience in composite manufacturing.
