Product and Validation Engineer (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Develop and execute application-level verification and validation plans, protocols, and reports for organoid culture, synthetic biology, and spatial omics workflows.
• Test instruments and end-to-end automated workflows for functionality, performance, reliability, robustness, throughput, accuracy, precision, reproducibility, and contamination control.
• Define acceptance criteria and performance metrics with R&D and product management, track defects, perform root-cause analysis, and verify corrective actions.
• Operate life sciences instruments and design and optimize application protocols and SOPs for integrated workcells and automated laboratory workflows.
• Conduct customer demonstrations, beta and site testing, evaluations, training, pre-sales and post-launch application support, and translate VOC and field issues into product requirements.
• Maintain traceability and documentation, support design reviews and launch readiness, and collaborate with R&D, systems, software, quality, manufacturing, marketing, service, sales, and application teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in life sciences laboratories, application support, product testing, or instrument verification. Experience in life science tools or diagnostics is preferred.
• Practical experience in at least one of organoid or 3D cell culture, synthetic biology, or spatial omics, including spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, or multiplex imaging.
• Strong learning agility, experimental design, troubleshooting, and the ability to quickly become proficient with new scientific domains, instruments, and software.
• Proficiency with Excel, GraphPad, or Python/R for data analysis and statistical evaluation of performance data.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work across R&D, quality, product management, and commercial teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to explain technical results clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Good written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with laboratory automation platforms, integrated workcells, or high-content imaging systems.
• Experience with product verification and validation in a regulated or design-controlled life sciences, IVD, or medical-device environment.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics or image-analysis tools, including spatial omics analysis pipelines and AI-based cell segmentation.
• Experience with beta testing, customer evaluations, or field application support.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and experience working with cross-site or global teams.
