IT Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Base pay: $150,000–$180,000 USD per year

hirify.global develops the ES-30, a regional hybrid-electric airplane with a 30-passenger capacity, a 200 km electric zero-emission range, and a 400 km extended hybrid range.

What you will do

• Own the IT roadmap and operating model, including standards, priorities, tradeoffs, and delivery.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to turn ambiguous needs into practical requirements and projects.
• Design and operate enterprise IT systems, including identity and access management, document storage, and conferencing systems.
• Manage Windows, macOS, and Linux devices through provisioning, configuration, patching, endpoint security, and lifecycle management.
• Own network and secure remote-access architecture for office, lab, and hangar environments.
• Manage SaaS and vendors, establish documentation and self-service resources, and plan the future split between internal IT and external support.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience in systems administration, IT operations, or IT engineering, including ownership of core infrastructure.
• Hands-on Windows and macOS administration and lifecycle management, plus practical experience supporting Linux users and workflows.
• Experience implementing and administering identity systems, including SSO, MFA, and access controls.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including VLANs and segmentation, firewalls, VPN and secure remote access, and Wi-Fi in an office or lab setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission.

Nice to have

• Microsoft 365 experience.
• Experience with public cloud systems such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to hosting commercial or in-house engineering applications.
• Vendor management experience.
• Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments where speed, pragmatism, and strong judgment matter.
• Experience with SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
