Technical Services and Applications Manager – EMEA Inkjet

Location: Hybrid; can be based at European locations in Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, or Latvia. The standard hybrid schedule is 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office.

What you will do

• Provide customer technical support for Cabot inkjet dispersion products and develop strategies for addressing customer technical problems.
• Coordinate cross-functional preparation for complex customer engagements and manage technical service ticket activities.
• Visit key customers in Europe to explain product use and resolve application issues.
• Support Sales through technical guidance, training, presentations, meetings, and customer consultations.
• Gather and validate customer requirements and application performance data for new products.
• Investigate quality complaints, resolve product problems with Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, and Sales, and identify opportunities for future product innovation.

Requirements

• Leadership, management, consulting, communication, and customer-orientation skills, including the ability to influence and motivate customers and colleagues.
• Ability to plan and organize the work of others, manage cross-functional conflicts, coach and train colleagues, and lead planning and preparation meetings.
• Ability to manage a technical service ticket system involving cross-functional tasks.
• Broad technical competence and knowledge of products, applications, raw materials, and platform technologies.
• Ability to make formal presentations, lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and address technical topics involving commercial considerations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or Engineering.
• 8+ years of related experience, including prior project or program management experience.

Nice to have

• Chemical industry experience, ideally in the inkjet industry involving inkjet inks or dispersions, or inkjet system application engineering involving ink and its effect on inkjet print system performance.
